Nearly every IT site either has undertaken virtualization
projects or has them planned. But as the projects expand, the
focus shifts from just implementing to optimizing virtualization
efforts. As this Webcast will clearly show, this optimization is

Guide to Videoconferencing Services: Part I
http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/40415 "Once the
economy begins to recover, videoconferencing will see meteoric
growth," BT's Videoconferencing Unit general manager Jeff
Prestel told us in a recent interview. In the mean time growth
is respectable, experience quality is improving, systems are
easier to use, and high-end "immersive" solutions are creating a
lot of buzz--although not making major inroads just yet.
Collaborating with our colleague John Bartlett, we learned this
and more during recent interviews with eight carriers to create
this four-part "Guide to Videoconferencing Services."

With the Skype iPhone app users will be able to make free calls
using Wi-Fi to other Skype users as well as use their Skype
accounts to make reduced price calls to traditional landline
phones. Skype announced its iPhone application would be
available on Tuesday for free with a version for the BlackBerry

http://www.networkworld.com/nlconvergence189596 Skype may
launch a version of its mobile Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and instant
messaging service as early as next week, according to a report
from Om Malik of GigaOM. If true, the application could prove
popular with cost-conscious iPhone users who'd like to save a
few bucks by routing calls over AT&T's data network. Currently,
iPhone users must use third-party services like Fring to access
Skype.
