New Product: FUJITSU LAUNCHES NEW SCANSNAP SCANNERS
Fujitsu Asia today unveiled the ScanSnap S1500 and S1500M colour scanners for the ASEAN and India markets. The company claimed the S1500 and S1500M incorporate intelligent digitising techniques to automatically adjust scan settings with "one touch" of a button. In Normal mode, A4-sized colour (or grayscale) and monochrome documents can be scanned at 20 pages per minute (duplex). Under this mode, input resolutions per colour (or grayscale) and monochrome documents are as high as 150 dots per inch (dpi) and 300 dpi respectively.

New Product: SIMMTRONICS LAUNCHES 2GB DDR3 1333MHZ MEMORY
Simmtronics Semiconductors Ltd. has announced the launch of 2GB DDR3-1333 MHz 240-pin DIMMs for both Desktops & Notebooks, targeted towards power users like gamers, animators and graphic designers. Simmtronics' DDR3-Modules are currently available in 2GB capacity with life time warranty. DDR3, the successor to DDR2 Memory, is expected to soon become the industry standard for PC Memory Modules.

News: QUALCOMM SHOWS EEE PC RUNNING ANDROID OS
Qualcomm showed off a previously unannounced version of Asustek Computer's Eee PC based on its Snapdragon processor at the Computex exhibition on Monday, including one running Google's Android operating system. The new laptop -- which Qualcomm calls a smartbook -- is thinner and lighter than current members of Asustek's Eee PC netbook lineup because the 1GHz Snapdragon processor that it uses does not require a heat sink or a cooling fan, said Hank Robinson, vice president of business development at Qualcomm.

News: SAMSUNG EDGES OUT SONY ERICSSON IN MEGAPIXEL RACE
Samsung launched on Monday the Pixon12, the company's first touchscreen phone with a 12-megapixel camera. The long-rumored phone follows in the footsteps of the Sony Ericsson Satio, which also comes equipped with a 12-megapixel camera. But the Samsung phone will be the first to hit the market when it ships in some parts of Europe by the end of June.

News: OFFICIAL SONY PSP GO! SHOTS LEAKED
That doleful baying sound you're hearing? Sony releasing the hounds as all hell breaks loose. It seems someone just can't wait to collect unemployment, because these leaked high-res shots — ostensibly of Sony's unannounced but long rumored PSP makeover — look pretty darned convincing. Of course that's what I said when I saw the Brachiosaurus in Jurassic Park.
