There's plenty of evidence that turning up the temperature in data centers is both cost-effective and safe, but many IT shops are still reluctant to take the plunge. CIO Joseph Tait admits "it was an uncomfortable decision" when his IT team raised the thermostat from 68 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit. Read full story

Veeam looks to combat virtual sprawl
Virtualisation specialist, Veeam Software, has launched a new tool aimed at simplifying the management of virtual machines. Veeam president and CEO Ratmir Timashev said that the tool, Business View, would help combat the size of VM sprawl by linking every virtual machine to a business service.
