Seven Out of Eight U.S. Beach Teams Advance at World Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seven out of eight USA Volleyball beach teams have advanced to the Round of 32 at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway.

Only the duo of Lauren Fendrick (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Ashley Ivy (Arlington, Texas), who finished third in their pool on Tuesday, did not advance to the Round of 36.

Wednesday was the final day of pool play with five U.S. teams scheduled to compete.

Second-seeded Phil Dalhausser (Ormond Beach, Fla.) and Todd Rogers (Santa Barbara, Calif.) advanced from Pool B despite forfeiting their match against New Zealand’s 26th-seeded Jason Lochhead and Kirk Pitman.
