HP Pavilion MS214
Check out Top 5 All-in-One Desktop PCs
Price: Rs. 36,990
Pros & Cons
Pros Nice, bright screen
Pros Good build quality
Pros Good onboard sound
Pros Windows 7
Cons No 1080p HD support
The HP Pavilion MS214 is an entry-level all-in-one desktop PC launched by HP late last year. It comes with a 19-inch form factor, has a good screen, well built, and offers very good value for money.
The HP Pavilion MS214 is very well built. Its screen (encased in black plastic) is ably supported by a nice and sturdy Apple iMac-like stand, which lets the screen tilt back and forth, and it's definitely one of the best we've seen. The back panel is compartmentalized and allows for easy access to the system RAM and hard drive, should you feel the need, and HP does a good job of spelling it out in its help documents. There are connectivity ports on the left edge and back panel of the screen, while a DVD writer is placed on the right edge.
Bottom Line
If you're looking for a nice balance between budget and speed, the HP Pavilion MS214 is the all-in-one PC for you.

Editor's Pick: Amazon Grudgingly Gives In to Macmillan's Pricing Demands

Amazon Grudgingly Gives In to Macmillan's Pricing Demands

Katherine Noyes
02/01/10 12:21 PM PT
The mighty Amazon has submitted to Macmillan's switch to an e-book pricing model that it considers excessive, telling customers that it disapproves but has no other option for delivering Macmillan titles to them. Amazon briefly suspended Macmillan titles from its catalog in protest but then relented, saying it would be up to consumers to decide whether the price was right.

In tonight's programme

============================================================
NEWSNIGHT - Monday 1 February 2010 - 2230 GMT - BBC Two
============================================================

------------------------------------------------------------
Presented by Kirsty Wark
------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight on the show we are planning to lead with the news that President
Barack Obama is deploying a missile shield around Iran. Why is the
defensive shield being put in place now? Does this mean a significant
shift in Washington's approach to Iran? We hope to have a discussion
featuring the US State Department, an Israeli government minister and an
Iranian voice.

Our Political editor Michael Crick has been to Northern Ireland to
examine the relationship between David Cameron's Conservatives and the
unionist parties. We'll also be following the twists and turns of the
arguments over the power-sharing government's role in policing justice
and parades.

Is John Terry fit to be the captain of the England football squad? We'll
be debating issues of morality and leadership.

And we are talking to computer scientist and father of virtual reality,
Jaron Lanier, about his new book, You Are Not a Gadget. To me he thinks
the web has become rotten to the core, controlled by information giants,
and stifling the creativity which was initially fostered by its birth...
