| SBA participated in BankWorld on January 13, 2012. BankWorld and the New England Mortgage Expo joined forces this year to create this opportunity for the region's bankers to learn about emerging opportunities and innovative solutions in the banking industry. Bankers attended educational sessions, interactive panels and had the opportunity to network and mingle with 100+ leading edge exhibitors. This high profile event was made possible by partners like SBA, the Connecticut Bankers Association, The Warren Group, the Center for Financial Training, and the New England Financial Marketing Association.
SBA led one of the educational sessions on SOP changes and 504 refinancing for more than 150 Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island lenders. SBA leaders from throughout New England attended the event along with Jeanne Hulit, who is now the SBA's Acting Associate Administrator for Capital Access and Patrick Kelly, SBA's Senior Advisor to the Associate Administrator. Massachusetts District Director Bob Nelson and Rhode Island DD Mark Hayward made remarks and provided updates on SBA loan programs.
